The 2019 NFL draft is less than two weeks away and while we can make some assumptions about the Pittsburgh Steelers we really have no idea where Pittsburgh is going with their top pick. Here are our three burning questions for the Steelers and their first-round pick.
Which cornerback do the Steelers want?
It really feels like at least two of the top three cornerbacks in the first round will be on the board for the Steelers when they make their first-round pick. Some combination of Deandre Baker, Byron Murphy and Greedy Williams should be available and this could force the Steelers to pick which cornerback fits best. History tells us when the Steelers have to pick a cornerback like this, things don’t work out.
Will Pittsburgh trade up?

It appears based on interest the top target for the Steelers is Michigan linebacker Devin Bush. But the likelihood of Bush being on the board at 20 is fairly small. This means if Pittsburgh really feels like he can be a gamechanger for the defense they will be forced to trade up to get him. The last time the Steelers made a big move up they landed future Hall of Fame safety Troy Polamalu.
Who is the Steelers backup plan in the first round?

What happens if everything goes wrong? The top linebackers are off the board and a run on cornerbacks leave Pittsburgh with some hard choices to make. If the Steelers top targets are gone do they trade back or go off script at a different position that might not be viewed as a top need but is a top talent? Our sleeper is a tight end like Noah Fant who might fall or one of the big wide receivers who could slide.
