2019 NBA Draft: NBA scouts believe Lakers will target Rui Hachimura, Nassir Little

The Los Angeles Lakers haven’t found out where they’ll be picking in the 2019 NBA Draft yet, but with just a 9.4 percent chance of landing a top-four pick, the expectation is that they’re going to stand pat at the 11th spot.

Obviously that’s not the dream scenario for them, but there will still be a few talented players on the board when the Lakers are on the clock on draft night. In fact, according to Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times, some NBA scouts already have an idea of who they think L.A. will pick:

If the Lakers remain in their draft position, NBA scouts could see them taking Gonzaga’s forward Rui Hachimura or North Carolina when the draft takes place on June 20.

Hachimura went 13th in USA Today’s mock draft 1.0, while Nassir Little went 17th. In other words, either one of them would be considered reaches at the 11th spot. Going into a crucial offseason for the Lakers, they can’t afford to take risks on draft night.
