San Jose State wide receiver Tre Walker comes in at #35 on our countdown of Mountain West football’s 52 best players because all he did last fall was, well, make big play after big play.
In his sophomore season, Walker seemed to make a highlight catch nearly every week, finishing 2018 with 39 catches for 714 yards and five touchdowns. That 18.31 yards per catch was surpassed by just two other sophomores on the FBS level — one of whom happened to win the Biletnikoff Award last winter — and was second in the Mountain West among all receivers.
