Despite missing most year because of injuries, Boise State wide receiver Octavius Evans lands at #35 on our countdown of Mountain West football’s 52 best players because his high ceiling remains intact.
Evans played in five games as a sophomore, but don’t forget the skills that he flashed in his freshman campaign back in 2017. That year, he grabbed 15 passes for 131 yards and two touchdowns and the expectations surrounding him haven’t diminished at all. With a new quarterback under center and the team’s two leading receivers to replace, Evans will be counted upon to stay healthy and show what he can do with a full year in the lineup.
