Very few players could have a forgettable season and still make our annual list of Mountain West football’s top athletes, but such is the talent of Boise State defensive tackle David Moa, who comes in at #23.
2018 wasn’t great from the start, as an arrest marred Moa’s off-season and he appeared in only one game due to injuries. Given a clean slate and a clean bill of health, however, Moa could very well get back to being the disruptive presence that earned first- and second-team all-conference honors in 2016 and 2017, respectively, and tallied 14 tackles for loss and 10.5 sacks.
In a middle of a seasoned Boise State defense, Moa could remind the Mountain West of how big a force he can be.
