Flagship sedan from Italy gets some mild tweaks and four engines to choose from.
Design Motorwork, the authorised importer of Maserati in Thailand, has introduced an updated version of the Quattroporte.
Dubbed model year 2019, the flagship saloon from Modena has received some detailed changes in a bid to keep it fresh in its current generation.
Tweaks include matrix headlights on the exterior and new soft-feel leather inside. As well, the operation of the eight-speed automatic transmission has been made more intuitive to use now including those for the various driving modes. A Sport mode for the exhaust system is also available.
A full range of turbocharged engines are available to choose from with the newest member being the 350hp 3.0-litre V6.
The other two petrol units are 430hp 3.0-litre V6 and 530hp 3.8-litre V8 for the S and GTS respectively. The Diesel, meanwhile, uses 275hp 3.0-litre V6.
Depending on model, there is either the luxurious Gran Lusso or racy Gran Sport trim for buyers to opt for.
The GTS Gran Sport, which has 310kph top speed and 4.7sec 0-100kph acceleration time, is priced at 18.89 million baht.
The S Gran Lusso goes for 13.99 million baht and an extra 1 million for Gran Sport, while the regular V6 costs 11.99 million baht in Gran Lusso spec.
The cheapest one is Diesel Gran Lusso asking for 10.49 million baht.
The closest rival to the Quattroporte in Thailand in terms of pricing is the Porsche Panamera, which also has a range of V6 and V8 engines. However, the Panamera stands out with 462hp 3.0-litre V6 plug-in hybrid priced at some 10 million baht.
