The 2019 season was a fun one to watch for the Oakland Raiders. Not only did they make significant strides as a football team, but they were in the playoff hunt until the very last week of the NFL season.
We got to see how it started in training camp as HBO’s Hard Knocks took us through the Antonio Brown saga, Mike Mayock’s first year as a general manager and the always entertaining Jon Gruden.
This Hard Knocks season was so intriguing that it was nominated for an Emmy for the best Serialized Sports Documentary, along with four other shows.
The Hard Knocks series has now been nominated for an Emeny in every season since 2008 and this season, they have a great chance to take home the award after it’s fantastic season with the Raiders. The awards were scheduled for April 28 but have been pushed back due the coronavirus. We will update this story when the awards take place.
