2019 G-Day Rosters released ahead of kickoff

The 2019 rosters for the annual G-Day game have been set. As per usual, the first team offense and second team defense will unofficially play as the ‘Red Team’, while the second team offense and first team defense unofficially play as the ‘Black Team’.

Highlights for the ‘Red Team’ include Jake Fromm, D’Andre Swift, Brian Herrien and Rodrigo Blankenship, while the ‘Black Team’ has J.R. Reed and the rest of the highly talented starting defense including freshmen Nolan Smith and Nakobe Dean.

The teams will don the standard red home jersey and the rarely worn black alternate inside Sanford Stadium tomorrow. However, quarterbacks are likely to wear the white road jerseys, as they have for the past two seasons in this event.

Beginning in the spring of 2017, the squads switched from the traditional red and white tops to incorporate the official black jerseys for the ‘Black Team’. This came after the Bulldogs ordered black jerseys for their 2016 game against Louisiana-Lafayette, a game they won by a score of 35-21.
