2019 Eagles roster cuts tracker: Updates, takeaways, and observations

The Philadelphia Eagles have started the process of cutting down the roster to the 53-player limit. We’ll have around-the-clock updates, trade news, rumors and official transactions leading up to Saturday at 4 p.m. ET – the deadline for teams to trim their rosters.

Cornerback Jeremiah McKinnon is the first Eagles cornerback to be released.

Eagles cut Orlando Scandrick, but he’s likely to return in week 2, once his contract is no longer guaranteed.

The Eagles waived Carlton Agudosi, Kevin Wilkins and Anthony Fabiano.

Eagles have now waived Alex Singleton and right tackle Riley Mayfield.

Eagles part ways with Boston Scott according to Mike Kaye of the Newark Star-Ledger.

Scott will likely practice squad addition if he passes through waivers.

1: 14 PM

The Eagles waived guard Sua Opeta on Saturday, according to Mike Kaye of NJ Advance Media.

Opeta, an undrafted free agent from Weber State, should make the practice squad as well if he passes through waivers.

UPDATE:

1:43 PM

The latest domino to fall is Josh Adams being placed on the waiver wire according to Mike Garafalo of NFL media.

Adams’s was the Eagles leading rusher last season and will definitely find suitors on the waiver wire immediately on Sunday. With Joe Douglas as the new GM in New York, Adams could be an option to back up Le’Veon Bell also.
