Dalbeattie’s new civic queen is 13-year-old Grace McQuarrie.
Grace, who is in S1 at Dalbeattie High School, was recently elected by fellow pupils.
She will be crowned during Civic Daze’s annual Sundaze in the Park, which runs from 1pm and 4pm, at Colliston Park on Sunday.
The day also features the popular duck race on Barr Burn between the Daniel footbridge and the John Street footbridge at 3.30pm.
