2019 Cardinals countdown: 97 days until season opener

There are 97 days until the Arizona Cardinals open the season at home against the Detroit Lions. So today we look for a stat with the No. 97.

In Cardinals history, two players have had 97 receptions in a season. First, it was receiver Rob Moore in 1997.

He was targeted 208 times, caught 97 passes for 1,584 yards and eight touchdowns. That is the second-highest total for receiving yards in a season in franchise history.

In 2009, when the Cardinals went 10-6 and won the NFC West, Larry Fitzgerald also had 97 receptions. He made 97 catches on 153 targets, gaining 1,092 yards and scoring 13 touchdowns.

Check back tomorrow when we give you a stat for the No. 96!
