The Arizona Cardinals’ season is over. Some players will get league awards. But it is time to recognize the players who were the best. So let us see who gets the awards for the Cardinals.
MVP: Kyler Murray

This is an obvious award. Murray was given the reins of the team and he exceeded expectations. He was the team’s leader. He led them to wins. He was their best offensive player and most important player overall.
Offensive player of thr year: Kyler Murray

Murray wins this as well. He had the eighth-highest total of passing yards in a season. He set the team record for rushing yards by a quarterback. He had a combined 24 touchdowns. He was second on the team in rushing.
Kenyan Drake deserves mention for his play over half a season, but Murray win this for the Cardinals.
Defensive player of the year: Chandler Jones

We believe he should be the league’s defensive player of the year. Obviously, he would be that for the team. He set a team record for sacks and forced fumbles. He was the most disruptive player on defense and did it as the only real pass-rushing threat.
Rookie of the year: Kyler Murray

He should be the league’s rookie of the year. He was arguably was the team’s best player. He’s a rookie. This makes the award easy.
Most improved player: Budda Baker

Baker was solid in 2018. He started slowly in 2019. He became one of the best safeties in the league, earning Pro Bowl honors. He led the league in solo tackles.
Comeback player of the year: A.Q. Shipley

Shipley missed all 2018 with a torn ACL. He came back and played almost every snap, never coming out because of an injury. He anchored the offensive line for Murray and had solid play by many metrics.
Now he is going to be a free agent and would like to finish his career here.
The guy with short arms that teams constantly try to replace just can’t be replaced.
