2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera: Thai pricing and specs

Go-faster variant of DB11 features spiced-up bodywork and 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 tuned to 725hp.

Aston Martin Bangkok has launched the new DBS Superleggera to steal some attention from punters of the Ferrari 812 Superfast.

Designed as a replacement for the DB9-based Vanquish, the DBS Superleggera is spun off from today’s DB11 with spiced-up bodywork and tuned engine and chassis. It’s priced at 28.9 million baht.

Power of the 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 in the DBS Superleggera has be upped to 725hp making it nearly 100hp more potent than the DB11 AMR.

The eight-speed torque-converter automatic in the DBS Superleggera has been recalibrated for a sportier and more responsive driving experience.

The 812 Superfast is the most direct rival in the 30 million baht range of front-engined sports car.

The Ferrari has 800hp 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic with 2.9sec 0-100kph time. That’s half-a-second quicker than the Aston.

Due to its higher performance, the 812 Superfast costs 2.16 million baht more, at 31.5 million baht.

Although priced similarly to the Ferrari, the Rolls-Royce Wraith is more of a luxury cruiser boasting 632hp 6.6-litre twin-turbo V12 that’s been tuned more for low-end torque.
