2019 ALL-USA Preseason Boys Track and Field: Throws

The ALL-USA Preseason Boys Track and Field Team for the 2018-19 season was selected by Fred Baer, the founder of Track and Field Writers of America, and Jack Shepard, the high school editor for Track & Field News.

Here are the five athletes selected in the throws (shot put, discus, hammer, javelin). Returning ALL-USA selections are denoted with asterisks.

<p><strong>School:</strong> Manhattan (Kan.)<br /> <strong>Class: </strong>Junior<br /> <strong>Result, Events: </strong>227-10, javelin<br /> <strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Hankins is way out front among returning javelin throwers. <p><strong>School:</strong> Ridgefield (Wash.)<br /> <strong>Class: </strong>Junior<br /> <strong>Result, Events: </strong>234-9 hammer<br /> <strong>Noteworthy: </strong>Returning All-USA hammer thrower Knight enters the season as the only prep over 220 feet.
