2019/20 Premier League fixtures 'leaked': Is this who Newcastle United are playing on opening day?

Newcastle United will open the 2019/20 Premier League campaign with a trip to Everton - according to a 'leaked' fixture list circulating on social media.

The Magpies will officially discover their 2019/20 Premier League fixtures at 9am on Thursday and fans will be eagerly anticipating Newcastle's fixture list for the upcoming campaign.

However, an image circulating on social media claims to have confirmed the opening day fixtures a day early.

As always with these kinds of leaks, you have to take its validity with a huge pinch of salt, but should it prove to be true, Newcastle will make the trip to Goodison Park on Saturday, August 10.

The Magpies have opened each of the last two campaigns at home to Tottenham Hotspur and, should the leaks prove to be true, it will be the first season since 2007/08 that their opening fixture has not been chosen for live television coverage.

The document claims Tottenham vs Norwich will be the first fixture of the 2019/20 season while Burnley vs Liverpool will be the televised evening kick-off on Saturday.

Newly promoted Aston Villa would welcome Leicester to Villa Park with Manchester United vs Brighton completing Super Sunday.

Champions Manchester City would kick off their search for a third successive Premier League title away at Wolverhampton Wanderers in the season's first edition of 'Monday Night Football'.

It is worth noting that a similar leak emerged last year claiming Newcastle opened their campaign away at newly promoted Fulham. That fixture turned out to be the final game of the season.

Nonetheless, here is a full look at the 'leaked' opening day fixtures for the 2019/20 campaign.
