Posh SUV sees a new petrol-electric drivetrain replacing the outgoing diesel-electric variation.

Inchcape (Thailand), the authorised importer of Jaguar and Land Rover, is taking orders for the new Range Rover plug-in hybrid in both regular and Sport body derivatives.
The semi-electric Range Rovers come with 2.0-litre petrol-turbo motor, electric system with plug-in facility and eight-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels.
While the combined output is rated at 404hp, the all-electric driving range is claimed at 51km. And with less than 100g/km of CO2, they can enjoy an excise tax rate of 8%.
The regular Range Rover comes in Vogue trim priced at 8.999 million baht, while the Range Rover Sport is equipped with HSE Dynamic costing 7.399 million baht.
This is basically the same price range as the outgoing models fitted with the non-plug-in diesel-electric hybrid, which faced a higher rate of 20% back then.
In spite of this, the comparable competition are all cheaper in price due to their regional assembly status. The BMW X5 xDrive40e, Mercedes-Benz GLE500e and Volvo XC90 T8 can all be had for less than five million baht.
