Entry-level SUV gets 150hp 2.0-litre diesel-turbo, nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive transmission.

Inchcape Thailand, the authorised importer of Jaguar, has officially launched the all-new E-Pace ahead of a public debut at this month’s Bangkok motor show.
Jaguar’s entry-level SUV, designed as a competitor for models ranging from the Mercedes-Benz GLA up to sporty variations like the upcoming BMW X2, is available in just one spec.
The E-Pace is powered by 150hp 2.0-litre diesel-turbo, nine-speed automatic and all-wheel drive transmission. Performance ratings include a 0-100kph time of 10.5sec and an average fuel consumption of 17.9kpl.
Since Jaguar is still a small player in the luxury market that needs to import all of its cars to Thai shores on a completely built-up basis, the E-Pace is pricier than all of its intended rivals.
Whereas the E-Pace costs 3.6 million baht (a 100k discount is being offered at the Thai car show), the locally built Mercedes GLA and BMW X1 goes for less than 2.5 million baht.
Even the X2, powered by 192hp 2.0-litre petrol engine, asks for 2.999 million baht in fully imported form. However, the X2 is a pure front-driver in sDrive spec.
