Popular people-carriers from Korea’s top brand get a new look, more features and unrivaled prices.

Hyundai Motor Thailand has launched the H1 and Starex people-carriers with another facelift to help keep them fresh after being on the market for a decade in their current generation.
The biggest change takes place up front where a large front grille can be found complying with the brand’s latest design language.
Other exterior alterations include restyled head lamps and rear LED lights, plus new design for the side-view mirrors and wheels.
The interior has been updated with automatic climate control, ventilated seats and more sophisticated sound system.

Like before, the H1 is an 11-seater with the ability to configure the chairs in a variety of ways. The Starex, meanwhile, takes only seven but features bigger and more comfortable seats in the middle with an entertainment system.
Power remains the same as before: 175hp 2.5-litre diesel-turbo mated to five-speed automatic transmission driving just the rear wheels.
Prices in all cases have risen marginally with the three-grade H1 ranging from 1.329-1.729 million baht. The Starex has two trims costing 2.349-2.399 million baht.
The H1 and Starex are the bread-winning models for Hyundai in Thailand due to their attractive prices resulting from special taxation for vans.
Although brimming with more luxury and tech, the Volkswagen Caravelle T6 costs over three million baht. The same goes for the Mercedes-Benz V-Class which retails for 5.69 million baht.
