2018-19 ALL-USA High School Boys Soccer: Second Team

The ALL-USA Boys Soccer Teams for the 2018-19 season were selected by Sheldon Shealer of TopDrawerSoccer.com in coordination with USA TODAY High School Sports based on performance, level of competition and strength of schedule.

Players from states that play fall, winter or spring soccer were eligible for selection.

<p>School: Berkshire School (Mass.)<br /> Position: Forward<br /> Height: 6-1<br /> Class: 2019<br /> College: Northwestern<br /> Noteworthy: Achara led Berkshire School in scoring en route to a perfect 19-0 season and a Prep School No. 1 ranking. <p><strong>School: </strong>Seven Hills School (Ohio)<br /> <strong>Position:</strong> Defender/Forward<br /> <strong>Height:</strong> 6-4<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2019<br /> <strong>College:</strong> Michigan<br /> <strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Callow was a two-time all-state selection who starred at center back during the High School All-American Game. <p><strong>School:</strong> St. Benedict's Prep (N.J.)<br /> <strong>Position:</strong> Midfielder<br /> <strong>Height:</strong> 5-10<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2019<br /> <strong>College:</strong> Akron<br /> <strong>Noteworthy: </strong>A native of Brazil, Cruz played a major role in St. Benedict Prep’s perfect season and second straight TopDrawerSoccer FAB 50 national title. <p><strong>School:</strong> Totino-Grace (Minn.)<br /> <strong>Position:</strong> Forward<br /> <strong>Height:</strong> 5-10<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2019<br /> <strong>College:</strong> Indiana<br /> <strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Endeley, a native of Tanzania, scored 24 goals and assisted on 11 others en route to being named Mr. Soccer for Minnesota. <p><strong>School: </strong>Central Catholic (Texas)<br /> <strong>Position: </strong>Forward<br /> <strong>Height:</strong> 5-9<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2020<br /> <strong>College:</strong> undecided<br /> <strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Gallegos guided Central Catholic to a third straight state title, soring a team-best 21 goals. <p><strong>School:</strong> Berkeley (Calif.)<br /> <strong>Position: </strong>Midfielder<br /> <strong>Height:</strong> 5-10<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2020<br /> <strong>College:</strong> Washington<br /> <strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Kossa-Rienzi was named the Prep2Prep North Coast Section Player of the Year. He was the driving force in Berkeley’s North Coast Section title run, which ended with a 4-1 win over perennial power De La Salle. <p><strong>School:</strong> McDonogh School (Md.)<br /> <strong>Position:</strong> Midfielder<br /> <strong>Height: </strong>6-2<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2019<br /> <strong>College: </strong>Penn State<br /> <strong>Noteworthy: </strong>Privett guided McDonogh to an MIAA A conference title after the team finished second in regular season play. <p><strong>School:</strong> Servite (Calif.)<br /> <strong>Position:</strong> Midfielder<br /> <strong>Height:</strong> 5-8<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2020<br /> <strong>College:</strong> undecided<br /> <strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Sanchez was named the Trinity League Player of the Year and a CIF Southern Section Division 1 first-team all-star. <p><strong>School:</strong> Milton Academy (Mass.)<br /> <strong>Position: </strong>Midfielder<br /> <strong>Height:</strong> 5-11<br /> <strong>Class: </strong>2019<br /> <strong>College: </strong>Virginia<br /> <strong>Noteworthy:</strong> Verley’s numbers were limited during his senior year as he missed time due to playing for Jamaica’s Under-20 National Team. <p><strong>School:</strong> Naperville North (Ill.)<br /> <strong>Position:</strong> Goalkeeper<br /> <strong>Height: </strong>6-7<br /> <strong>Class: </strong>2019<br /> <strong>College: </strong>Loyola University (basketball)<br /> <strong>Noteworthy: </strong>The two-sport star recorded 20 shutouts and allowed only four goals in 26 matches as Naperville North posted a 26-0 season. He had a 0.16 goals against average. Welch also scored three goals.
