2018-19 ALL-USA Boys Track and Field: Throws

The ALL-USA Boys Track and Field teams for the 2018-19 season are coordinated by Fred Baer, the founder of Track and Field Writers of America. Boys selections are made by Jack Shepard, the high school editor of Track and Field News.

Criteria included ranking on USA TODAY Sports and Track and Field News national lists and the number of top performances along with head-to-head competition during the regular season and in major postseason meets.

The honorees are divided based on event. Follow the links below for each group; athletes are listed alphabetically. Races in meters unless noted. Field events are listed in feet and inches.

<p><strong>School: </strong>St. Pius X (Atlanta)<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2019<br /> <strong>Result, Events: </strong>70-2¼, Shot Put; 206-8, Discus<br /> <strong>Noteworthy: </strong>Duffin was the Georgia state champion in the shot put and discus throw. <p><strong>School: </strong>North Bend (Ore.)<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2019<br /> <strong>Result, Events: </strong>222-11, Javelin<br /> <strong>Noteworthy: </strong>Hampton won the New Balance Nationals javelin throw with a season-leading 222-11. <p><strong>School: </strong>Ridgefield (Wash.)<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2020<br /> <strong>Result, Events: </strong>254-0, Hammer<br /> <strong>Noteworthy: </strong>Knight won the New Balance Nationals hammer throw. <p><strong>School: </strong>Jefferson City (Mo.)<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2019<br /> <strong>Result, Events: </strong>218-4, Discus<br /> <strong>Noteworthy: </strong>Roberson won the discus throw at the New Balance Nationals. <p><strong>School: </strong>Liberty (Bakersfield, Calif.)<br /> <strong>Class:</strong> 2019<br /> <strong>Result, Events: </strong>71-3, Shot Put<br /> <strong>Noteworthy: </strong>Viveros was the California (CIF) state shot put champion and had the season’s top mark, 71-3.
