2017 NBA draft class has faced injuries, other challenges

After acquiring Markelle Fultz in last week's trade with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Orlando Magic now have two of the top six players taken in the 2017 NBA draft.

Fultz was chosen No. 1 overall by the 76ers, while Jonathan Isaac was taken sixth by the Magic.

While Fultz's young career has to this point been slowed by injuries, Isaac is developing into the player the Magic front office envisioned when he was drafted.

But what about the other players selected in the first round of that draft?

In what was the youngest draft in league history at the time, the first seven picks, and 10 of the first 11, were college freshmen. A few already have established themselves as future stars, a handful are significant contributors for their teams, some continue to seek consistency and others have bounced back and forth from the NBA to the G League.

Here is a closer look at the first-round picks in the 2017 draft, listed in the order in which they were selected. An asterisk indicates the player came to his current team via a trade, and the original drafting team is listed in parentheses:
