As budgets go, this was a pretty important one: it could be the ultimate decider for which party wins the next general election. The stamp duty changes have grabbed the headlines, but in the small print there was also news on Isas, fuel duty and benefits.

It's vital to understand how the details of this – possibly the last Labour budget for several years – will affect you and your family, as it could help you decide how to vote.

What are the implications of planned tax changes on the amount you will be paying? Will you benefit if you are a first time property buyer? How will pensioners be affected?

Guardian Money has organised a panel of experts to answer your questions: Matt Coward, director of private client tax services at accountancy firm PKF will answer your queries on taxation; Martin Bamford of independent financial advisers Informed Choice will deal with personal finance related questions; and Diane Buckby, senior benefits counsellor at the CCCS Centre for Welfare Benefits in Nottingham, will answer questions on benefits and debt.

If you have a question for the panel, please post it below: they will be publishing answers online from 12.30pm on Thursday 25 March.

Our budget calculator will also help you see how much more, or less you will be paying next year.
