Etiquette matters, now, as Lost in Showbiz is pleased to answer the seasonal question: upon what date it is no longer acceptable for journalists to be phoning in annual "awards" columns?
The answer, of course, is December 31, so we must salute Sun Bizarre editor Gordon Smart for today's two-page spread of gongs for entertainment industry personages.
Gordon seems an almost pathologically self-effacing sort of chap - I wonder if he's aware that his picture byline shot appears to ape the classic image of Richard III - but misses a trick in not handing one of his wildly coveted awards to the Priscilla Ceballos in this story, who is hereby named the Lost In Showbiz Hero of 2007, a year that is already several heavily-narcotised hangovers ago, and henceforth will only be dredged up in therapy sessions.
Priscilla is the kind of person we can ALL get behind, and Gordon is advised to take a good hard look at his value system in the year ahead.
