Halle Berry is one of those movie stars fans love to see and at the 2024 Fantastic Fest, she made sure every audience got an introduction to her movie Never Let Go! That’s a movie star right there!
One of the exciting parts about the festival is that some of your favorite stars come out to celebrate their films. When Berry was there for Never Let Go, she took that celebration to the next level. For the most part, the creatives and stars will be in one theater with fans watching a simulcast from the other theaters within the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin. It is still a nice communal experience but not every theater gets to see the stars themselves.
Which is why what Berry did was such a special moment for the festival and for her fans. As part of the opening night celebrations, Berry was there for her movie and she ran to all 6 of the auditoriums that were screening Never Let Go to make sure that they each got a special in-person introduction before the film started.
What I always love is a movie star who takes the extra mile to make sure that everyone feels the love that they have for their work. It is easy to share a movie with the world. When it gets to the stage when press is done and the movie is going out, a star doesn’t really have to do anything. But Berry made sure that every theater got their own special shout out and that’s just really cool of her.
The Fantastic Fest premiere was Berry’s first trip to the festival and hopefully not her last but what a way to celebrate Fantastic Fest and her work! You can see our special shout outs to the women of Fantastic Fest and get excited for the 20th anniversary of the beloved genre festival!
