Police have confirmed that a 20-year-old man has died after a medical episode on playing fields.
South Wales Police said they were called to Talbot Green Playing Fields yesterday, January 8, at around 4:30pm following reports of a man experiencing a medical episdode.
Emergency services attended but a 20-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say there are no suspicious circumstances and the man's next of kin have been informed.
A large emergency service response was reported into the evening with police prohibiting access to Talbot Green Pavilion, near the fields.
A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "South Wales Police was called around 4.30pm yesterday afternoon, Saturday 8 th January, following reports of a man experiencing a medical episode at Talbot Green Playing Fields.
"Emergency Services attended but a 20 year old man was pronounced dead at the scence.
"His next of kin have been informed and there are no suspicious circumstances. Formal identification has yet to take place."
