20 of the best signs which highlight just how much Liverpool Pride means to the LGBTQ+ community

Pride in Liverpool took place in the city centre and its annual march from St George's Plateau kicked off at midday, joined by thousands of people showing their support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Among the sea of sequins, rainbow-coloured umbrellas and props, there were a variety of signs on display from festival-goers, groups and popular bars and restaurants from across the city.

Despite the weather, those taking part in the march were keen to have their messages and views heard loud and clear with a variety of signs that towered above people marching through the city centre.

There were around 12,000 people celebrating Pride in Liverpool and taking part in the march today which will culminate in a series of live performances until late this evening.

The Barclays Stage is situated in the junction between Tithebarn Street and Vauxhall Road and will feature live performances from Daisy Gill, Little Boots, drag artist The Vivienne, Adam Lyons and more.
