BHOPAL: A total of 20 new Covid-19 cases were reported in Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday. Active cases in the state too are high at 108.
One death was reported in the state taking the death toll due to Covid-19 to 10524.
On Tuesday too, 27 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state. It was on September 24, that 36 new cases were found in a single day of which 32 patients were found in Indore district alone. Since then, less than 20 new patients were found in the state everyday.
With these new cases, tally of cases reported so far in the state has reached 7,92,804.
Barring state capital Bhopal, cases were reported in single digits from all the districts of the state. No new cases were reported from 48 districts of the state.
Maximum new cases were reported from Bhopal district as 11 tested positive, followed by eight new cases from Indore, and one new case was reported from Dhar district.
Positivity rate rose to 0.03% on Wednesday. Positivity rate is the number of people testing positive out every 100 samples tested.
On Wednesday, 52,256 samples were tested and of it 20 were found positive. Thus on an average, one person out of every 2,600 who were tested, was found to be positive.
A total of 10 people recovered from the disease on October 27. With these people recovering the number of people who have recovered so far from the disease reached 7,82,172.
