20 baby names set to disappear as fewer parents choose them

The 20 baby names most likely to disappear from use in the next few years have been revealed in analysis of data from the Office for National Statistics.

A list of the 10 girls' names, and 10 boys' names most likely to disappear from use has been drawn up in a report by Flowercard.

The names set to disappear include Natasha - although that may get a boost this summer thanks to the release of Marvel's latest film Black Widow, featuring Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff.

Names including Courtney, Lauren and Jodie have all made the extinction list, according to Birmingham Live.

Data from the ONS revealed the "most endangered" names across the UK, with Kirsty coming out top, followed by Jordan, Shauna and Shannon.

Courtney finishes the top five, with Lauren following, alongside Gemma and Jodie, as well as Jade and Natasha.

Meanwhile, on the boy list, Mitchell is number one, followed by Kieran and Ross, with Brandon and Craig next.
