A year since Tikquaan Stephenson-Walters was murdered in Kilburn, a £20,000 reward is being offered for information which could help find the moped gunman who shot him.
Tikquaan, 28, from the Queen’s Park area, was shot at close range by a suspect riding a white Honda moped in Bravington Road, Kilburn, at 11.06pm on September 4 last year.
Although the emergency services attended to Tikquaan’s gunshot wounds, he was sadly declared dead at the scene 40 minutes after the fatal shooting.
The Metropolitan Police has now released new CCTV footage from the incident and appealed for witnesses who can help identify the killer.
Independent charity Crimestoppers is offering a £20,000 reward to anyone who can provide information which leads to the conviction of individuals involved in Tikquaan’s murder.
Crimestoppers said they will pass on any information about the case anonymously, meaning the personal details of anyone with information will not be shared, and individuals will not be required to go to the police, attend court, or give a witness statement.
The reward is available for three months and is due to expire on Thursday 4 December 2025, but information passed directly to the police will not qualify for a reward from Crimestoppers.
Tikquaan’s family remain “utterly heartbroken” at the loss of his “innocent life”.
They described him as a “loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and grandson” who “touched the hearts of many”, a young man who had no affiliations with any gangs or violence.
Since the incident, three men have been arrested during the course of the investigation on suspicion of murder and a woman was arrested for assisting an offender.
One man and the woman were released with no further action, while the other two men remain on bail and released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Detective Chief Inspector Wayne Jolley, from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “Tikquaan’s family, understandably, remain heartbroken and my team and I remain dedicated to bringing to justice whoever was responsible for this wicked violence.”
In a statement, Tikquaan’s family said: “The community are utterly broken by the devastating loss of such a special, innocent life. This heart-breaking tragedy serves as a reminder that Tikquaan could have been anyone’s son, brother, nephew, or friend.”
