Two men were wounded in a shooting Sunday on the Near West Side.

About 8:10 p.m., the men, 28 and 36, were standing on the sidewalk in the 1400 block of South Stewart Avenue, when two males got out of a black SUV and fired shots at them, Chicago police said.

The 36-year-old man was struck in the right leg and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was stabilized, police said. The 28-year-old was struck in the back, legs and buttocks and taken to the same hospital in serious condition.

No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
