The shootings happened about 30 minutes apart in West Garfield Park, Chicago police said. It was unclear if they were connected.
The first man was shot about 4:20 p.m. as he walked through an alley in the 200 block of South Kilbourn Avenue, police said.
The 21-year-old was hit in the shoulder and leg, and was taken to Stroger Hospital in serious condition.
Another man was shot about about four blocks north at 4:50 p.m., police said.
A 26-year-old was walking in the 4500 block of West Washington Boulevard when someone shot him in the leg, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition.
Area North detectives are investigating both shootings.
