Two people were shot Tuesday in Avalon Park on the South Side.
They were standing in an alley about 7:52 p.m. when someone in a dark-colored sedan fired shots in their direction, Chicago police said.
A 24-year-old woman was shot in the ankle, and her condition was stabilized at Jackson Park Hospital, police said. A man, 29, was taken to Stroger Hospital in an unknown condition with a gunshot wound to the back.
No arrests have been made as Area South detectives investigate.
