Two people were wounded, one critically, in a shooting Friday in Brighton Park on the Southwest Side.

Just before 11:30 p.m., the two men, 42 and 34, were in a vehicle traveling southbound in the 3600 block of South California Avenue when they heard shots and felt pain, Chicago Police said.

The 34-year-old victim was shot below the eye and in his arm, and the 42-year-old was shot once in his leg, police said.

They self-transported to Mount Sinai Hospital where the 34-year-old was listed in critical condition, police said. The 42-year-old’s condition was stabilized, police said.

No one was in custody.
