Three people were seriously injured in a shooting Wednesday in Englewood on the South Side.

They were hit by gunfire in an apparent drive-by attack at 1:22 p.m. in the 6200 block of South Justine Street, according to Chicago police.

A 27-year-old woman with a graze wound to the right cheek and a 28-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the right arm were both taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, police said. The other woman, 25, was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn with gunshot wounds to her lower left leg and left hip.

Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford said all three victims were in serious condition. Police said they have all since been stabilized.

The suspect left the area in a red sedan, according to police. Area South detectives are investigating.
