2 teens found shot dead in Ford Heights

Nov. 03--Two teens were discovered shot dead inside of a van early Sunday morning in Ford Heights, apparently the second incident of fatal shootings in the south suburban town in recent days.

Cook County Sheriff's police responded to a call of shots fired about 1:25 a.m. on the 1500 block of Park Lane. When they arrived, police found two people with gunshot wounds inside of a 2001 white Ford van, according to a spokeswoman for the Cook County Sheriff's office.

The victims, a 19-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both of Ford Heights, were pronounced dead at the scene.

They were identifed as Cyrus Johnson, 19, and Ephram Nelson Jones, 17, of the same block where they were killed, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Friday night, a man and a woman were discovered shot dead inside of a home on the 1400 block of Regent Lane in Ford Heights.

Mchezo McMilian, 38, of that address, and Ashley Hudson, 21, of the 1200 block of West Brich in Homewood, were both pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.

An autopsy Saturday determined both died of multiple gunshot wounds and their deaths were ruled homicides.

Police were alerted to the scene when a man who visited the home flagged them down.

There was no indication that Friday's slayings are related to the Sunday fatal shooting.
