Two 15-year-old boys are charged with a carjacking earlier this month in South Shore.

About 3:30 p.m. Thursday, the teens were pulled over in the 7900 block of South Wabash Avenue for running a red light, Chicago police said.

During the stop, officers learned the Ford Focus they were riding in was taken at gunpoint from a 53-year-old man Feb. 9 in the 7200 block of South Bennett Avenue, police said.

The teens were arrested and charged with one felony count of aggravated vehicular hijacking, police said.

They were expected to appear in juvenile court Friday.
