Two people were shot Tuesday in Chicago, including a 26-year-old man who was shot in Hyde Park on the South Side.

About 11:40 p.m. he was walking in the 5500 block of South Shore Drive, when he was approached by a male on foot who fired shots in his direction, Chicago police said.

He was struck in the left hand and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, police said. He is in good condition.

A 19-year-old man was shot after an argument in Garfield Park on the West Side.

About 8:35 p.m. a male he argued with approached him in the 2900 block of West Fulton Street and shot him in the side of his face, police said.

The man took himself to Mount Sinai Hospital in good condition, police said.

Tuesday’s shootings come after a Monday where one person was killed and six others wounded in citywide shootings.
