Two people were wounded Thursday in shootings on Chicago’s South and West sides.

The day’s latest shooting injured a 31-year-old man in South Chicago.

He was walking about 10:30 p.m. in the 8300 block of South Commercial Avenue when someone in a black sedan fired shots at him, Chicago police said. He was struck in the leg and taken to Trinity Hospital in good condition.

About two hours earlier, a 25-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Austin on the West Side.

He was in the 1000 block of North Menard Avenue about 8:26 p.m. when someone he knew approached and fired shots, Chicago police said. The man was hit in the leg and took himself to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, where his condition was stabilized.

A police source said the shooting appeared to be domestic related.

On Wednesday, seven people were shot in Chicago — one of them fatally.
