
Two people were wounded in a shooting Friday in East Garfield Park on the West Side.
One person suffered a gunshot wound to his leg at 12:08 p.m. inside an apartment in the 2800 block of West Wilcox Street, according to preliminary information from Chicago police. He was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.
A second person who was outside was also hurt by gunfire, police said. He showed up at Stroger Hospital.
Their ages and condition, as well as the circumstances of the shooting, were not immediately known, according to police.
Area North detectives are investigating.
