One man was killed and another wounded early Friday in Grand Crossing on the South Side.
The men were standing outside about 3:20 a.m. in the 7300 block of South Blackstone Avenue when they were attacked, Chicago police said.
One man, 56, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, according to police. The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet identified him
Another man, 54, was shot in the face and taken to the same hospital in fair condition, police said.
No one is in custody as Area One detectives investigate.
