2 seriously wounded in West Garfield Park shooting

Two men were seriously wounded by gunfire Friday in West Garfield Park.

They were riding in a vehicle about 6:30 p.m. in the 100 block of North Lorel Avenue when they heard gunshots and realized they were hit, Chicago police said.

The men both went to Mt. Sinai Hospital.

A 23-year-old was shot in his chest and arm, and a 24-year-old was shot in his abdomen and leg, police said. They were listed in serious condition.
