Two men were seriously wounded Saturday after being shot in South Shore.
The men, 23 and 49, were outside about 10:10 a.m. in the 1600 block of East 79th Street when someone got out of a maroon four-door sedan and opened fire, Chicago police said.
The 23-year old was shot in the shoulder and buttocks while the 49-year-old was struck in the chest, police said. Both were taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition.
Area South detectives are investigating.
