Two females were robbed this month on the same block in Austin on the West Side.
The robberies happened about 10:30 p.m. March 1 and March 9 in the 1300 block of North Cicero Avenue, Chicago police said.
In each incident, the robber approached the female as she walked alone and threatened her with a kitchen knife or knocked her to the ground, police said. He then took their purses and wallets.
The person was described as a man in his 20s, standing between 5-foot-7 and 6 feet and weighing between 160 and 180 pounds.
