2 purses stolen on same Chatham block

Two people had their purses snatched in June on the same block in Chatham on the South Side.

The thefts happened about 11 a.m. June 27 and 8:30 p.m. June 29 in the 7900 block of South Cottage Grove Avenue, Chicago police said.

In both incidents, a man in his late teens or early 20s walked up to the victim and stole their purse, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Area Two detectives at 312-747-8273.
