2 more coronavirus cases in Nottinghamshire, Public Health England confirms

Public Health England has confirmed there are two more cases of coronavirus in Nottinghamshire.

The latest update came just before 7pm on Monday, March 9, and the number of cases in the wider county increased from three to five.

In Nottingham, the number of cases remains at two.

There are now a total of seven cases in the city and the county.

The first three people with coronavirus in Nottinghamshire had all returned from Italy, but no more information has been made available regarding the further two cases in the county.

So far, a total of 319 people across the country have been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Six people have also died.

The five people were known to have prior health complications, but none of these deaths are in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire.
