A 2-month-old boy died of injuries from child abuse Sunday night in west suburban Elburn, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Police officers and paramedics responded to a call of an infant with difficulty breathing in the 800 block of Kindberg Court about 7 a.m. Friday, Elburn police said.
Kasen Kaitharath was transported to Delnor Hospital in Geneva and then transferred to Lurie Children’s Hospital, police said.
He was pronounced dead Sunday night, according to the medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy found he died of multiple injuries from child abuse. His death was ruled a homicide.
Elburn police were investigating.
