LUCKNOW: Two minor girls were gangraped allegedly by a twenty-year-old youth and a minor in Mohanlalganj area on Sunday. Both the accused were nabbed by police on Monday night.
SHO Mohanlalganj, Akhilesh Kumar said that the survivors had gone to a farm around 4pm on Sunday.
“The accused who had spotted them, gang-raped them. When the brother of a survivor rushed to the farm on hearing screams, both the accused fled,” said the SHO.
Later, the relatives took the survivors to the police station for lodging an FIR.
“We lodged a case on charges of gang rape, criminal intimidation and under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. The girls were sent for medical examination and treatment while a team nabbed the perpetrators on Monday. The accused Praveen (20) and a minor have been taken into custody,” said Kumar.
