2 men wounded in Englewood shooting

Two men were wounded in a shooting July 5, 2019, in the 7200 block of South Oakley Avenue in Englewood.

A shooting in Englewood Friday left two men wounded on the South Side.

About 12:45 a.m., they were standing on a sidewalk in the 7200 block of South Oakley Avenue when someone opened fire, Chicago police said.

A 22-year-old was hit in the ankle while a 29-year old was struck in the foot, police said. Both were taken to Holy Cross Hospital where their conditions where stabilized.

Area Central detectives are investigating.
