Chicago police are searching for two men wanted in connection with four armed robberies reported in October in Austin on the West Side.
In each incident a pair of men wearing hooded sweatshirts approach a lone victim, pull out firearms, announce a robbery and threaten to shoot the victim before taking their belongings, according to a community alert from Chicago police.
These robberies happened:
- About 3:50 p.m. Oct. 2 in the 5000 block of West Madison Street;
- About 8:15 p.m. Oct. 12 in the 100 block of South Cicero Avenue;
- About 12:45 p.m. Oct. 13 in the 100 block of North Laramie Avenue; and
- About 2:10 a.m. Oct. 17 in the 4700 block of West Jackson Boulevard.
