Two men were shot, one fatally, Thursday in Gresham on the South Side.
About 12:35 a.m., the men, 27 and 19, were sitting in a parked vehicle in the 900 block of West 83rd Street, when someone walked up to them and fired shots, Chicago police said.
The 27-year-old was struck in the armpit and the 19-year-old in the back, police said. They were both taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where the 27-year-old was pronounced dead.
The 19-year-old has been stabilized, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not yet commented on the man’s death.
No one is in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
